Patchbay is a three-person studio in Rotterdam dedicated to repairing vintage synthesizers. We work on instruments that have shaped decades of music, from early analog monosynths to the polyphonic machines of the eighties, bringing them back to the condition their makers intended. Every repair begins with a careful diagnosis: we trace faults through schematics, test components by hand, and replace only what truly needs replacing, preserving original parts wherever we can. Beyond fixing faults, we service worn keybeds, recalibrate oscillators, clean contacts, and restore tired power supplies, so that each instrument leaves our bench reliable and ready to play. We believe these machines deserve to keep making music rather than gather dust, and that careful, patient work is the best way to honour them.
