MiMo v2.6 Flash

TLDR

Your current tariff is ending 31 Dec 2026. You need to pick a new one by 28 Nov 2026, otherwise:

• Do nothing → you'll automatically get put on Standard Variable (34.1p/kWh) — nearly 40% more than your current 24.6p/kWh
• Pick Fixed Saver 27 in the app → stay on a fixed rate instead

Action: Go into the app/website before 28 Nov 2026 and choose a tariff. Don't let it default to the expensive one. Also skim the new T&Cs if you care about meter readings, complaints, and email contact policies.

Subject: Security Deposit – Outstanding After 7 Weeks

Hi [Landlord's Name],

I hope you're doing well. I'm writing to follow up regarding the security deposit of $1,400 from my tenancy at [your address].

As you may recall, I vacated the property on [move-out date], which was seven weeks ago. I have not yet received my deposit, nor have I received a written explanation for any deductions. I've reached out via text a few times but haven't heard back, so I wanted to follow up via email to make sure this gets your attention.

Under [your state's] landlord-tenant laws, security deposits are typically required to be returned within 14–30 days of move-out. We are now well beyond that window.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know the status of my deposit within the next seven days. If I don't hear back by then, I'll need to explore further options to recover the funds.

I'd much rather resolve this directly with you — I just need it moved forward.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best, Sam

NO, THIS IS NOT REAL.

This is a classic SMS scam (phishing).

Here is why this text is fake and dangerous:

1. The Domain: Look at the link in the message: dhl.com-redelivery.eu. The official website for DHL is simply dhl.com (or dhl.de, dhl.fr, etc., depending on your country). Scammers hide their fake site by putting the real name in the middle of the address.
2. The Amount: A fee of 1.99 EUR is suspiciously low. Real customs fees are usually significantly higher and are often calculated based on the value of the goods, not a flat rate like this.
3. The Threat: The threat of the parcel being "returned to the sender within 24 hours" is designed to panic you into clicking the link immediately without thinking.
4. Unsolicited Contact: DHL usually sends emails regarding fees, not SMS messages, unless you specifically opted in for SMS notifications (though even then, the links provided are safer).

What you should do:

• DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.
• Delete the message.
• Report the text as Spam/Phishing to your phone provider (you can usually forward the text to 7726 or SPAM).
• If you are actually expecting a DHL package, check the status directly by opening the official DHL app or typing dhl.com into your browser manually.

I appreciate you being upfront about needing to catch up for book club, but I have to be honest with you: I don't have reliable information about a book called Nineteen Quiet Rooms by Ottilie Marsh. It may be a very niche or obscure title that isn't well-represented in what I was trained on.

I'd rather tell you I don't know than risk making up a twist and having you go to book club with the wrong information.

Here's what I'd suggest:

• Reddit – Try r/books or r/tipofmytongue (or a genre-specific subreddit) for a quick summary.
• Goodreads – Look for the book's discussion threads; people often talk about the ending there (spoiler-tagged, hopefully).
• Literary blogs or reviews – A site like LitHub, Locus, or a Goodreads review might recap it.

Alternatively: You could be honest with your book club — say you didn't quite finish — and you might be surprised how many others feel the same way! Sometimes those end up being the most fun discussions.

Good luck tomorrow!

Leek & Parmesan Frittata with Buttery Croutons

Here's your plan:

Prep (5 min):

• Slice the leek (white + light green parts), rinse well
• Cut stale bread into cubes (~1cm)
• Whisk 4 eggs with a pinch of salt/pepper

Cook (15 min):

1. Croutons: Melt butter in your largest skillet/pan, toss in bread cubes, toast until golden. Remove and set aside.

2. Leeks: In the same pan, add a bit more butter, sauté leeks over medium heat until soft and sweet (~4 min).

3. Frittata: Pour beaten eggs over the leeks. Cover the pan, reduce heat to low, and let it set for ~7-8 minutes — no flipping needed. It's done when the top is just barely set.

4. Cheese: Shave or finely grate parmesan on top, cover again for 30 seconds to melt.

5. Plate with croutons on the side (or scattered on top).

---

Serve with: The croutons act as your bread/starch. For extra freshness, if you have any lemon in the house, a squeeze of juice over the leeks brightens everything up.

Total time: ~20 min | Dinner for 2 | ✅ Vegetarian | ✅ Uses everything

Of course. Here are a few options, all under a minute and cringe-free.

Option 1 (Short, Sweet & Confident)

"They say that the best partnerships are built on trust, balance, and knowing your partner’s strengths. I’ve watched my sister [Sister's Name] and Elliot find all of that on the climbing wall—and then bring it to life together.

It’s a perfect match. To [Sister's Name] and Elliot: may your life together be filled with exciting new routes, solid ground beneath your feet, and a hand to hold on for the rest of the climb. Cheers!"

---

Option 2 (A Bit More Humorous)

"Some people meet at a party, some on an app. But my sister and Elliot met where it counts: at the climbing gym.

It makes sense. You need total trust in your partner, you have to be great at communicating, and you have to be willing to deal with the inevitable chalk dust everywhere. They’ve got that down pat.

To [Sister's Name] and Elliot, your best belay is now your spouse. May you always find the next hold together. Cheers!"

---

Option 3 (Heartfelt & Direct)

"You know, the climbing wall is a great metaphor for a good relationship. There’s always a challenge, sometimes you slip, but the most important thing is that you have someone watching out for you, someone you trust with your entire life.

[Sister's Name], that’s exactly what you and Elliot have found in each other. It’s built on a foundation of real trust, mutual respect, and a shared love for finding the next great peak.

To [Sister's Name] and Elliot: may you always be the best support for each other. To the happy couple!"

How to deliver it: Stand up when it's your turn, make eye contact, take a deep breath, and speak clearly. Sip your drink after, then sit down.

Cost Calculation: Sharing the Steak

Here is the breakdown for 2 people sharing the steak:

1. The Steak Cost:

   • The menu lists the price as € 5.50 "all'etto".
   • In Italy, 1 etto = 100 grams. So the price is €5.50 per 100g.
   • The menu states a minimum weight of 1.2 kg (1200g).
   • Calculation: 1200g / 100g = 12 units.
   • 12 units × €5.50 = €66.00.

2. Service Charge:

   • The bottom of the menu says "Servizio 12% non incluso" (12% service not included).
   • Calculation: €66.00 × 0.12 = €7.92.

3. Cover Charge (Coperto):

   • The menu charges €3.00 per person for sitting down.
   • Calculation: 2 people × €3.00 = €6.00.

Total Estimated Cost: To share the steak (and nothing else), it will cost you approximately €79.92 (rounded up to €80.00).

(Note: If you plan to order drinks or side dishes, the 12% service charge will apply to those items as well, and you will need to pay the €3.00 cover charge regardless of what you eat.)

</svg>

What to tell your daughter:

1. Earth is tilted — it's always leaning at 23.5°, just like you leaning your head to one side. The tilt always points the same direction in space.

2. As Earth orbits the Sun:

   • Summer → Our side of Earth tilts toward the Sun → sunlight hits more directly (like a flashlight held straight-on) → warm!
   • Winter → Our side tilts away → sunlight hits at a slippy angle (like a flashlight at an angle) → cool!

3. The flashlight analogy 🤯 — Hold a flashlight straight-on to a wall (bright, tight circle = summer) vs. at an angle (dim, spread out = winter). Same light, different angle!

That's it — no magic, just a tilt + a trip around the Sun! 🌍☀️
