What this gives her, and how to use it together:

The one gesture that carries the whole lesson: grab the little Earth and drag it around the ring. The left side draws the real geometry — Earth tilted a true 23½°, axis always pointing at the North Star (all the little ghost arrows stay parallel, which is the entire secret). The right panel is the payoff: as she drags, the sun visibly climbs or sinks, the same beam gets packed tight or smeared long across the ground, the kid's shadow stretches or shrinks, the daylight bar grows and shrinks, and the kid changes clothes (and complains about the cold).
The numbers are honest. Sun angle, footprint spread (~2.5× in winter vs. midsummer), and day length (about 15¼ h vs. 8½ h at 45°) are all computed live from the actual tilt, so her "but why?" questions get real answers, not vibes.
