MiMo v2.6 Pro

TL;DR:

Your current fixed tariff is ending 31 Dec 2026. By 28 Nov 2026 you need to either:

• Pick "Fixed Saver 27" in your online account to stay on a fixed rate, or
• Do nothing and you'll get moved onto a more expensive variable tariff (34.1p vs your current 24.6p per kWh).

So yes — set a reminder to act before 28 Nov 2026 and pick the new fixed tariff (or shop around). Otherwise you'll pay ~39% more per unit.

Subject: Follow-Up: Security Deposit Return – $1,400

Dear [Landlord's Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to follow up regarding my security deposit of $1,400, which I have been expecting since I moved out on [move-out date] — approximately seven weeks ago.

I understand things can get busy, but as I have not received my deposit or any communication back on my previous text messages, I wanted to put this request in writing.

To recap the details:

• Property address: [address]
• Move-out date: [date]
• Security deposit amount: $1,400
• Move-out condition: The unit was left in good condition and all terms of the lease were fulfilled.

I would appreciate it if you could process the return of my full deposit within the next 7 business days. If there were any deductions or issues you encountered during the move-out inspection, I'd ask that you please provide an itemized statement so we can discuss it.

I'd prefer to resolve this between us quickly and amicably. However, I do want to be transparent that if I don't hear back from you by [date, roughly one week out], I will have no choice but to explore my options under [your state]'s landlord-tenant laws to recover the deposit.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards, Sam [Phone number] [Email address]

🚨 This is almost certainly a scam. Here's why:

Major Red Flags

1. The URL is fake — The real DHL website is dhl.com. This link says dhl.com-redelivery.eu, which is a trick. That's actually the domain com-redelivery.eu, designed to look like it's part of DHL's site. The real DHL would never use that domain.

2. Urgency pressure — "Pay within 24 hours or it will be returned" is a classic scam tactic to make you act fast without thinking.

3. Small amount — €1.99 seems harmless, right? That's the point. The goal isn't the €1.99 — it's to get you to a fake site where you enter your credit card details and personal information.

4. Generic message — No tracking number, no sender details, no specific information about the "parcel."

What you should do

• ✅ Don't click the link
• ✅ Delete the message
• ✅ If you want to verify a real DHL delivery, go directly to dhl.com yourself or call DHL directly
• ✅ Report it as spam if your phone allows

The general rule

Legitimate companies will never ask you to pay fees through a link in a text message. When in doubt, always navigate to the company's website yourself rather than clicking any link you're sent.

I'm not familiar with Nineteen Quiet Rooms by Ottilie Marsh — I don't have reliable information about this book or its ending. It may have been published after my knowledge cutoff (April 2024), or it's something I just don't have details about.

Rather than risk giving you wrong information and making you look bad in book club, I'd suggest:

• Checking Goodreads — people often discuss endings in spoiler-tagged reviews
• Skimming the last few chapters quickly tonight
• Searching for a plot summary on sites like Wikipedia, BookBrowse, or Bookseer
• Asking a friend who has finished it

Sorry I can't be more help — but a made-up twist would be way worse than an honest "I don't know"!

Skillet Leek & Parmesan Bread Strata

A savory bread pudding in a pan — uses everything you have and hits way above its weight.

---

Timing:

0:00 — Prep

• Tear the stale bread into rough chunks (bite-size-ish)
• Slice the leek into half-moons, wash well
• Grate the parmesan (you'll want most of it)
• Beat the 4 eggs with a big pinch of salt, pepper, and about half the parmesan

2:00 — Sauté the leek

• Big knob of butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat
• Toss in the leek, season, cook ~5 min until soft and sweet. Don't rush this part — it's where the flavor comes from.

7:00 — Crisp the bread

• Push leeks to one side, add another small knob of butter
• Toss the bread chunks in, let them get golden and crispy on some sides, ~3 min

10:00 — Combine

• Spread leeks and bread evenly across the pan
• Pour the egg/parmesan mixture over everything — it should pool around the bread like a puddle
• Cover, turn heat to medium-low
• Cook ~8 min until the edges set and the top is barely runny

18:00 — Finish

• Scatter remaining parmesan on top
• If the top is still wet, flash it under a broiler if you have one — or just leave it, it'll be custardy and lovely

20:00 — Slide onto plates. Eat.

---

Why this works: the stale bread absorbs the egg like a sponge, the leeks go silky-sweet, the parmesan gives it savory depth and crusty edges where it hits the pan. It's basically breakfast-for-dinner energy in the best possible way.

Optional if you have any of these: a splash of milk/cream in the eggs, a pinch of nutmeg, a squeeze of lemon at the end, hot sauce, or some herbs (chives/parsley) — all nice but none necessary.

Here's one for you:

Some people say you have to climb mountains to find the right person. My sister just had to go to the climbing gym.

She's someone who's always been figuring things out — problem by problem, hold by hold. And then she met Elliot. And honestly, from the outside, it looked effortless. Like she'd found the route she didn't even know she was looking for.

Elliot — you make her happy in the way that really counts. Not with grand gestures, but in the quiet, everyday stuff. Anyone who knows my sister knows that's not easy, and she'd probably say the same about you.

What I love most is that they make each other braver. Not by pushing, but by being there — someone worth trusting at every move.

So raise your glasses to my sister and Elliot. To a life full of good problems and better solutions. Cheers.

---

Tips: Speak slowly. Pause before "Someone worth trusting at every move." That's the emotional beat. Then keep it light on the close. If you want it even shorter or want to adjust the tone — funnier, more sentimental, or if they have a running joke you want to drop in — just let me know.

How to explain it to her 🗣️

Earth is tilted! It doesn't spin straight up and down — it leans to one side, like a spinning top that's tipping over.

☀️ Summer: When our half of Earth leans toward the Sun, sunlight hits us straight on — like standing right under a flashlight. Lots of warmth!

❄️ Winter: When our half of Earth leans away from the Sun, sunlight hits us at a slant — like standing off to the side of a flashlight. Not as much warmth!

🔑 The cool part: The tilt never changes direction! But as Earth travels around the Sun, sometimes we're leaning toward it and sometimes away. That's why we get seasons!

---

A hands-on demo she'll love 🎉

This is the part that really sticks for kids:

1. Put a lamp in the middle of a table (the Sun)
2. Stick a pencil or skewer through a ball at a slight tilt (the tilted Earth)
3. Walk the ball in a circle around the lamp, keeping the pencil pointing the same direction the whole time
4. Watch how the tilted side faces the lamp on one side (summer) and faces away on the other (winter) 🤯

It's like walking in a circle around a campfire holding a tilted umbrella — when the tilted side faces the fire you're warm, and when it faces away you're cold. The umbrella never changes — just where you are in the circle!
