TL;DR: Your current tariff (Fixed Saver 24) ends Dec 2026. Switch to the new Fixed Saver 27 tariff before Nov 28, 2026, or you'll be moved to the more expensive Standard Variable tariff. No other action needed right now.

---

What to Do Now:

1. Before Nov 28, 2026: Log in to your Fennick Energy account (https://www.fennickenergy.co.uk/) or app and switch to Fixed Saver 27 to keep your fixed rate.

2. Otherwise: You'll automatically move to the Standard Variable tariff starting Jan 1, 2027, which has higher rates:

   • Unit Rate: 34.1p/kWh (vs. your current 24.6p/kWh)
   • Standing Charge: 61.2p/day

3. Review New Terms: Changes include meter readings, complaints process, and email communications (effective Jan 1, 2027) – no action required unless they affect you.

---

This ensures you don’t overpay after the switch. Set a reminder for Nov 2026 to act. No immediate steps needed.

Subject: Request for Return of Security Deposit - [Your Property Address]

Dear [Landlord’s Name or Property Manager],

My name is Sam, and I am writing to formally request the return of my security deposit of $1,400. I moved out of [Property Address] on [Move-Out Date], and as of today (7 weeks later), I have not yet received the deposit.

I attempted to address this matter via text message on [mention dates if possible] but have not received a response. As required by [local laws (if applicable, e.g., "your state’s tenant laws")/the lease agreement], I am entitled to a refund of my deposit within [X days, if specified] of vacating the property. While I understand that processing may take time, the delay has caused me financial inconvenience, and I would appreciate a prompt resolution.

Please return the full deposit amount via check or direct deposit at your earliest convenience. If there are any deductions, I request an itemized statement with receipts within 5 business days of this email. After reviewing any such deductions, I will follow up to confirm receipt of the remaining balance.

If I do not hear back or receive the deposit within 7 business days of this email, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to [local tenant rights agency/small claims court/another relevant entity]. I hope we can resolve this amicably and without further action.

I can be reached at [Phone Number] or [Email Address] if you need any additional information. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Sam
[Your Phone Number]
[Your Email]

Notes:

• Customize the placeholders ([...]) with specific details (name, address, move-out date, etc.).
• If you know the landlord’s legal obligations (e.g., state security deposit laws), reference them here.
• Keep a copy of this email and any receipts for your records.
• Consider sending via certified mail/email with a delivery/read receipt for proof of communication.

The message you received is likely a scam or phishing attempt. Here's why:

---

Red Flags to Watch For:

1. Suspicious URL Structure:
The link dhl.com-redelivery.eu is not an official DHL domain. DHL's websites typically use subdomains like dhl.com or dhl.de, but "dhl.com-redelivery.eu" mimics DHL's branding while using a third-party domain. Phishing sites often use similar tactics to trick users.

2. Urgency and Small Amounts:
Scammers often use small fees (like €1.99) to avoid raising suspicion and pressure recipients to act quickly (e.g., "Pay within 24 hours"). Legitimate companies rarely impose strict deadlines without prior communication.

3. Unsolicited Requests:
DHL (or any official carrier) would usually communicate customs fees via email or their official app, not via random text messages. They also typically provide clear instructions on paying fees through their official website or local office.

4. No Tracking Number or Context:
If DHL had issues with your package, they would include your tracking number, shipment details, or other identifying information. Scammers often omit these to avoid detection.

---

What You Should Do:

1. Do NOT Click the Link:
Avoid visiting the provided URL. It could lead to a phishing site stealing your personal/payment information.

2. Verify Through Official Channels:

   • Go directly to DHL's official website (https://www.dhl.com/) (not through the link).
   • Check your shipment status using the tracking number (if you have one).
   • Contact DHL’s local customer service (via their official contact details) to confirm any fees or issues with your parcel.

3. Report the Message:
Forward the suspicious text to DHL (e.g., phishing@dhl.com) and report it to local cybersecurity authorities (e.g., IC3.gov (https://www.ic3.gov/) in the U.S.).

---

Conclusion:

This message is almost certainly fraudulent. DHL does not send unsolicited payment links via text for customs fees. Always verify such requests through their official channels. Stay safe!

I should clarify something important: it appears you may be thinking of the wrong book title or author. There isn't a well-known book called "Nineteen Quiet Rooms" by Ottilie Marsh.

You might be thinking of "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman or perhaps a similar mystery/thriller novel with elderly characters who solve crimes.

If you're looking for a quick refresher for your book club, the key elements that often appear in these types of books include:

• A group of older characters who form an unlikely alliance
• Mystery/crime solving from an unexpected perspective
• Themes about aging, friendship, and late-life adventures
• Often a surprising but satisfying ending that ties together earlier clues

My suggestion: Since your book club is tomorrow, I'd recommend:

1. Quickly checking the actual title and author
2. Looking up a synopsis online or on Goodreads
3. Maybe reaching out to another group member who's read it

Would you like help figuring out if this is the right book, or do you have any other details that might help identify the actual title?

Yes, you can make a delicious vegetarian pasta or skillet dish in 20 minutes. Here's a quick plan:

Leek & Parmesan Pasta/Skillet

• Cook pasta in salted water. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
• Meanwhile, sauté sliced leek in butter in a large skillet until soft (5 mins).
• Add stale bread (cubed) to skillet and cook until golden.
• Whisk 4 eggs with ½ cup parmesan.
• Toss drained pasta into skillet with leeks/bread, add egg mixture + splash pasta water. Stir until creamy (1-2 mins). Season with salt/pepper.
• Serve immediately topped with extra parmesan.

Alternative: Quick Leek Frittata

• Sauté leeks in butter until soft.
• Whisk eggs with parmesan + salt.
• Pour over leeks, cook until set. Top with bread cubes toasted in same pan.
• No oven needed - just cover pan to finish cooking eggs.

Here's a heartfelt, concise wedding toast for your sister:

---

Toast for [Sister's Name] & Elliot

"Good evening, everyone. I’m [Your Name], and I have the honor of being [Sister’s Name]’s sibling.

Most people meet their partner at a party or through friends. Not [Sister’s Name]. She met Elliot at a climbing gym – where else but scaling walls would she find someone steady enough to keep up with her?

From the moment they started belaying for each other, it was clear this wasn’t just about reaching new heights—it was about building something strong together. Whether they’re conquering cliffs or navigating life’s twists, they’ve always had each other’s six.

Elliot, you didn’t just catch her when she fell; you chose to climb beside her every day. And [Sister’s Name], you’ve found someone who matches your strength—and your heart.

So here’s to love that scales any peak, laughter that echoes through every valley, and a partnership as solid as the ropes that brought them together.

Cheers to the newlyweds!"

---

Timing Tip: Practice delivering this at a relaxed pace (~55 seconds). Pause after "steady enough to keep up with her?" for emphasis. Keeps it sincere, avoids clichés, and ties in the climbing theme naturally.

I'll explain the seasons with a simple drawing that shows how Earth's tilt causes summer and winter. Let's draw it step by step:

---

Step 1: Draw the Basics of the Solar System

• The Sun: Draw a big circle in the center. Label it "Sun."
• Earth's Orbit: Draw dotted lines around the Sun to show Earth's path. Keep the orbit almost like a circle, but slightly oval (since it's an ellipse, but not too important here).

---

Step 2: Show Earth's Tilt

• Earth as a Tilted Ball: Draw Earth as a circle, with an arrow pointing out of its top at a 23.5° angle (tilted to the left or right, not straight up/down). Label it "Earth's Tilt."
• The tilt direction is always the same as Earth spins (e.g., the North Pole leans toward the North Star, Polaris).

---

Step 3: Draw the Two Key Positions

1. Summer for the Northern Hemisphere:

   • Place Earth on one side of its orbit, with the Northern Hemisphere tilted toward the Sun.
   • Sunlight: Show vertical sun rays hitting the north. Label "More Direct Sun = Warmer!"
   • Add small smiley faces or a sunhat to signal summer fun.
   • Draw the Southern Hemisphere in shadow, label "Winter for the South."

2. Winter for the Northern Hemisphere:

   • Move Earth to the opposite side of the orbit (6 months later), still keeping the tilt angle the same.
   • Now, the Northern Hemisphere tilts AWAY from the Sun.
   • Sunlight: Draw the rays slanted (less direct) over the south. Label "Less Direct Sun = Colder!"
   • Add snowflakes or a scarf to signal winter.
   • Southern Hemisphere is now facing the Sun (summer there!) 🌞.

---

Step 4: Key Notes

• Add captions:
  • Tilt is Key: “Earth’s tilt causes seasons! It’s always tilted the same way, but as Earth orbits, one side gets closer to the Sun’s rays at different times.”
  • Same Distance ≠ Seasons: “Seasons aren’t caused by distance to the Sun. Earth is actually farthest from the Sun in July!”
  • Days Change Too: “Summer has longer days (more sunlight!) and winter has shorter days.”

---

Step 5: Fun Extras for a Kid

• Use colors: Green/pink for summer (Northern Hemisphere), blue/white for winter.
• Arrows pointing to show direction of sunlight: vertical = summer, angled = winter.

---

Here’s a simplified doodle:

          ☀️ Sun at center
          |
N. Hemisphere tilted toward → [ Earth ⛅️ ]
          ↖ (sunlight vertical)
          ↗
  ↓ orbit
          ↙ (tilted away) → [ Earth ⛄️ ]
            ↖ (sunlight slanted)

---

Why It Works: The angle of Earth's tilt means one hemisphere gets more direct sunlight (summer) and longer days, while the other gets slanted sunlight (winter) and shorter days. The Sun’s rays don’t change intensity—they just hit at an angle!

Let her ask questions, and keep it visual. Kids love the smiley faces and sunscreen! 🌞❄️
