TL;DR: You don’t have to do anything to keep your electricity, but if you do nothing you’ll likely pay a lot more.

• Your current deal: Fixed Saver 24, unit rate 24.6p/kWh. It ends 31 Dec 2026.
• Deadline to choose: 28 Nov 2026.
• If you do nothing by then: you’ll automatically move to their Standard Variable tariff — currently 34.1p/kWh + 61.2p/day standing charge.
That’s about 9.5p/kWh more than now (~39% higher unit rate). Your standing charge may or may not change — the email didn’t quote your current one, so check your bill to compare total cost.
• If you want to stay on a fixed price: log in to your official Fennick online account/app before 28 Nov 2026 and pick Fixed Saver 27 (or another fixed tariff). Check its actual unit rate, standing charge and any exit fees first — the email doesn’t say how much Fixed Saver 27 costs.
• T&Cs update on 1 Jan 2027: no action needed from you; they just take effect.
• Scam caution: don’t click links in the email. Log in directly via the app/website or call the number on your bill to make sure it’s genuine.

Bottom line: Happy to pay the higher standard variable rate? Do nothing. Want to avoid the likely price rise? Choose a new fixed tariff (or switch supplier) by 28 Nov 2026.

Subject: Formal Request: Return of $1,400 Security Deposit – [Rental Address]

Dear [Landlord’s Name],

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m writing to follow up about my security deposit for [rental address]. I moved out on [move-out date], which was seven weeks ago, and I still have not received my $1,400 deposit or an itemized statement of any deductions.

I’ve tried reaching you by text several times but haven’t received a response, so I wanted to follow up in writing. I left the unit in good condition and would like to resolve this matter quickly and fairly.

Please treat this as a formal request. By [insert date — about 7 days from today], please either:

1. Return the full $1,400 deposit, or
2. Provide an itemized list of any deductions with receipts, along with a check for any remaining balance.

You can send the refund to my forwarding address:

Sam
[Your Mailing Address]
[City, State ZIP]

If I don’t receive a response or the deposit by [insert date], I’ll need to pursue the options available to me under [State] law to recover it, including small claims court. I’d much rather settle this directly and avoid taking that step.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Sam

Tips before sending:

• Replace the bracketed info with your actual details.
• Set the deadline about 7 days out.
• If your state has a specific legal deadline for returning deposits, you can add:
“I also want to note that this is past the timeframe generally required under [State] law.”
• If he still doesn’t respond, consider sending the same message by certified mail so you have proof of delivery.

No — treat it as a scam/phishing text. Do not click the link and do not pay anything.

Why this is almost certainly fake

1. The link is not a real DHL address

   • The message link is: https://dhl.com-redelivery.eu/p/8KX2Q
   • The real website/domain here is com-redelivery.eu — the dhl. part is just a subdomain made to look like DHL.
   • A genuine DHL link would use an official DHL domain, e.g. dhl.com, dhl.de, dhl.co.uk, mydhl.express.dhl, etc. It would not be dhl.com-redelivery.eu.

2. No tracking number or shipment details

   • Real DHL/customs notices usually include a tracking/reference number and describe the parcel.
   • This just says “Your parcel” with no identifiable information.

3. Urgency + threat

   • “Pay within 24 hours or it will be returned to the sender” is a classic pressure tactic.

4. Weirdly small “customs fee” of €1.99

   • Real customs/VAT/import fees are calculated on the shipment and are handled through official channels. A flat €1.99 “fee” via SMS link is typical scam bait.

What you should do

• Don’t click the link. Delete the message and block the sender if you can.
• If you already clicked it: close the page and do not enter any personal, card, or login information.
• If you already entered payment or personal info:
  • Contact your bank/card issuer immediately.
  • Cancel or dispute the card if needed.
  • Change passwords for any accounts you entered, especially if you reused a password.
  • Watch your statements for suspicious activity.
• If you’re actually expecting a DHL parcel:
  • Go directly to the official DHL website/app yourself (type dhl.com or your country’s DHL site).
  • Use the tracking number from your order confirmation or email, not from this text.
  • Or call DHL using the contact details listed on the official DHL site.

Report it

• Forward the SMS to your mobile carrier’s spam number (in many countries this is 7726 / “SPAM”).
• You can also report it to DHL at phishing@dhl.com (mailto:phishing@dhl.com).
• If you’re in the U.S., you can report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

Bottom line: It’s a phishing “smishing” scam trying to steal your payment details. Delete it.

Ugh, book-club crunch is the worst. I wish I could just hand you the ending, but I don’t want to send you into the meeting with a wrong spoiler.

I can’t find a verified record of a novel called Nineteen Quiet Rooms by Ottilie Marsh in the book data I have access to. It may be:

• a very recent 2025/2026 release that isn’t in my training data,
• a self-published/indie title, or
• a slightly garbled title/author combo (for example, maybe it’s a different “Quiet Room” book, or the author name is a bit different).

Because I’m not confident I’m looking at the right book, I’m not going to invent a twist — a made-up ending is worse than just saying you didn’t finish.

Fast ways to get the real ending before tomorrow:

1. Search:
“Nineteen Quiet Rooms ending explained” or “Nineteen Quiet Rooms twist” on Google, Reddit, Goodreads, or Amazon reviews — add “spoiler.”
2. If you have the ebook, jump to the last 10–15% and skim the final chapter plus any author’s note/discussion questions.
3. Check the publisher/author social media: #NineteenQuietRooms #OttilieMarsh — debuts often have spoiler Q&As or “ending explained” posts.
4. If it’s on Libby/Kindle, use the search function for a key name/term from the last chapter you do remember.

If you can paste the back-cover blurb, the first line, or describe the cover, I can try to identify the exact book — and if I recognize it, I’ll give you a clean, no-nonsense summary of the twist. Also double-check the author name; if it’s slightly different, tell me and I’ll help track down the right one.

Yes — make a stovetop bread frittata (Italian frittata di pane). It uses everything, needs no oven, and is vegetarian (just check the parmesan for animal rennet if she’s strict about that).

Stovetop Leek, Parmesan & Stale-Bread Frittata

Serves 2 · about 20 minutes

Use: 4 eggs, the ½ leek, ~3 cups torn stale bread (crusts ok), ~½ cup grated parmesan (divided), 3 tbsp butter, salt/pepper, 2 tbsp water.

1. Start the leeks (0:00)
Slice the ½ leek thinly, wash well, drain. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium. Add leek + pinch salt; cook 4–5 min until soft.

2. Make the custard while that cooks (0:02)
In a bowl, beat 4 eggs with 2 tbsp water, salt, pepper, and half the parmesan. Tear bread into 1-inch pieces.

3. Soak (0:06)
Scrape leeks into the egg mixture. Add bread, fold and press so everything is coated. Let sit 4 min so the bread drinks the egg. If it looks dry, add 1 more tbsp water.

4. Cook (0:10)
Wipe pan, add remaining 1 tbsp butter, medium-low. Pour in mixture, spread evenly, press down. Cook undisturbed 4–5 min until the bottom is golden and edges set.

5. Set the top without an oven (0:15)
Cover with a lid (or foil/plate) and cook 4 min. If the center still looks wet, slide it onto a big plate, invert back into the pan, and cook 2 min more.

6. Finish (0:19)
Scatter remaining parmesan on top, cover 30 sec to melt. Rest 1 min, cut into wedges, eat.

No-flip option: after step 4, just stir gently and scramble everything for 2–3 min until the eggs are set. Same flavors, zero risk.

Everything is meat-free; the only catch is parmesan sometimes uses animal rennet, so use a vegetarian hard cheese or skip if that’s an issue.

Here is a warm, sincere, and cringe-free toast that clocks in at around 45–50 seconds (about 130 words).

It focuses on the genuine core of climbing—trust and partnership—rather than forcing cheesy rock-climbing puns.

---

"Hi everyone, I’m [Your Name], [Sister's Name]’s [brother/sister].

If you know my sister, you know she loves to climb. And the thing about climbing is that it all comes down to trust. You have to know, without a doubt, that the person on the other end of the rope has your back.

When she met Elliot at the climbing gym, she found exactly that. It was clear pretty quickly that Elliot wasn’t just a great climbing partner, but the perfect life partner. Watching the two of them together, you can see how much they trust and support each other. They just make a great team.

Elliot, welcome to the family. We’re really glad it was you holding the rope.

Everybody, please raise your glasses to [Sister's Name] and Elliot. Here’s to a lifetime of supporting each other. Cheers!"

Pro-tip for delivery: Speak a little slower than you think you should, and take a brief pause before the paragraph about Elliot. It makes the words feel much more natural and impactful!

Easy swaps

• No pet? Swap “Feed pet / fill water” for “Wipe kitchen counters.”
• No dishwasher? Swap “Empty dishwasher” for “Hand-wash & dry a few dishes.”
• Want them to do the same two chores every day instead of rotating? I can make that version too.

Print & fridge tips

• Paste the table into a Google Doc/Word, or use the text version above.
• Print on cardstock, or slide it into a sheet protector / laminate it and use a dry-erase marker so you can reuse it weekly.
• Hang on the fridge with magnets and let the kids check off or put a sticker in each box.

Hey there! What a brilliant question. It is awesome that she is curious about how the world works!

To understand why we have summer and winter, she only needs to know one big secret: The Earth is tilted.

Imagine the Earth is a spinning top that is leaning to the side. As the Earth travels around the Sun, it stays leaning in that exact same direction.

So, for half of the year, our part of the world is leaning towards the Sun (Summer!). For the other half of the year, we are leaning away from the Sun (Winter!).

Here is a "drawing" you can show her to help her visualize it:

             ☀️
           (The Sun)

SUMMER for us WINTER for us
          (July) (January)

           / /
/ North Pole / North Pole
/ leans TOWARDS / leans AWAY
       ( N ) the sun! ( N ) from the sun!
      (=======)                 (=======)
       ( S ) ( S )
\ South Pole \ South Pole
\ has Winter \ has Summer
            \ \
             \ \

(Notice how the Earth is leaning in the exact same direction in both pictures—kind of like leaning to the right! But because it moves to the other side of the Sun, we go from leaning toward the Sun to leaning away from it.)

💡 Do this fun experiment with her!

If she asks why leaning towards the sun makes it hotter, you can show her with a flashlight!

1. Get a flashlight and a piece of paper. Turn off the lights.
2. Summer: Shine the flashlight straight at the paper. You will see a bright, small circle of light. All the light energy is packed tightly together, making it strong and hot. This is Summer!
3. Winter: Now, tilt the paper away from the light. The circle stretches out into a big, dim oval. The same amount of light is now spread out over a much larger area, making it weaker and cooler. This is Winter!

🤯 A Mind-Blowing Fact!

A lot of grown-ups actually get this wrong. They think it's summer because the Earth gets closer to the Sun. That's a myth!

In fact, the Earth is actually closest to the Sun in early January—right in the middle of our winter! It really is 100% about the tilt and the angle of the sunlight.
